Man battles Legionnaires in Tallaght Hospital

A man is in intensive care at Tallaght Hospital being treated for Legionnaires Disease.

The case has been notified to the National Disease Surveillance Centre.

It is not known where the man, in his 30s, contracted the disease but it is believed to have been outside the hospital.

In April, a woman died from Legionnaires Disease at Waterford Regional Hospital.
