Gardaí probe teen death on building site

Gardaí in Co Westmeath are investigating the death of a 13-year-old boy on a construction site in Mullingar yesterday afternoon.

The teenager was playing in concrete pipes on the site in Marlinstown when one of them collapsed, leaving him fatally wounded.

The accident, which is also being investigated by the Health and Safety Authority, happened at around 4pm.
