Employment and jobless figures up as labour pool grows
Employment in Ireland increased by more than 28,000, or 1.6% in the 12 months to the end of June this year, according to figures released today by the Central Statistics Office.
The CSO's latest Quarterly National Household Survey showed that 1,778,000 people were in work at the end of June, a 1.6% increase in the numbers working at the same time last year.
