The Labour Party has criticised the Government following the decision by the Association of Secondary Teachers not to implement a new science syllabus until adequate resources are provided.

Education Minister Noel Dempsey wants the syllabus introduced on an optional basis this year, but Labour spokesperson Jan O'Sullivan said he has been aware for more than a year that the necessary lab equipment is not available.
