Green Party attacks Govt's environment record

The Green Party has attacked the Government's continued flouting of EU environmental directives.

Party spokesman Dan Boyle said today that a recent EU censure over Ireland's failure to protect the environment was a major embarrassment for a country that is due to assume the EU presidency in a matter of months.
