FG Senator resigns local authority seat

Fine Gael Senator Brian Hayes has become the latest Oireachtas member to resign his council seat due to the abolition of the dual mandate.

Mr Hayes will be replaced on South Dublin County Council by Fine Gael activist Paul Ringland.
