Man shot in chest and arm in Co Clare

A 43-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital this morning after being shot in the chest and arm in Co Clare last night.

The victim was making tea in the kitchen of his home in Kilrush when a number of shots were fired at the house at around 11pm.
