The Central Statistics Office has reported a 2.5% increase in the price paid for agricultural land in the first three months of this year.

The Central Statistics Office has reported a 2.5% increase in the price paid for agricultural land in the first three months of this year.

The CSO said preliminary figures showed that the average price paid for a hectare of land between January and March was €13,455.

This is 5.8% below the average price in the first quarter of 2002, but 2.5% above the average price in the preceding three months.
