The SDLP has been accused of "cheap point scoring" after calling on Sinn Féin to give charities a portion of the hundreds of thousands of dollars it has raised in the United States.

John Dallat of the SDLP had demanded that Gerry Adams donate some of the money raised on the lucrative US college lecture circuit to some of the poorest regions in the world.
