400,000 salmon die in Inver Bay
The Green Party is calling for a public inquiry into one of the biggest fish kills in Ireland, which occurred off Co Donegal some weeks ago.
Up to 400,000 salmon died in Inver Bay over a period of two weeks and the party's Marine Spokesperson Eamon Ryan claims nobody seems to know what caused the disaster.
He maintains there has been remarkable silence since the catastrophe and feels a public inquiry is needed to prevent something like this from happening again.
