The Department of Foreign Affairs has reiterated its warning against non-essential travel to Saudi Arabia due to risk of attack on Westerners.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has reiterated its warning against non-essential travel to Saudi Arabia due to risk of attack on Westerners.

The advice was first issued after more than 30 people died in a suicide attack on a housing compound for Western workers in Riyadh last May.

The US has also advised its citizens not to travel to the Middle Eastern kingdom.

The latest warnings follow British Airways' decision yesterday to indefinitely ground all flights to Saudi Arabia.

The decision was apparently made after Saudi authorities uncovered plans to attack a British aircraft.
