Survey finds 64% of Leaving Cert students on grinds

Almost two-thirds of Irish Leaving Cert students take grinds outside of school hours, according to a survey of more than 1,000 pupils in schools throughout Ireland.

The study found that 64% of sixth-year students pay for up to 2.5 hours of private tuition every week at a cost of up to €45 per hour.
