Police fear a missing Antrim girl may have been abducted, it emerged today.

Clarissa Martin, 15, was last seen waiting for a train to take her home to Islandmagee, Co Antrim.

Detective Inspector Gary Crawford, who is leading the police inquiry, confirmed: “Unfortunately, the possibility that she has been abducted is something we are considering.”

The teenager was last seen on Friday night at Yorkgate railway station in north Belfast.

She is described as slim with red/ginger hair and brown eyes. She was wearing blue jeans, a blue denim jacket and trainers.

Inspector Crawford said all lines of inquiry had drawn a blank.

He added: “We are increasingly concerned about her well-being.”
