McGuinness piles pressure on Blair

British Prime Minister Tony Blair was today under new pressure from Martin McGuinness today to ignore unionist splits and set a date for elections in Northern Ireland.

As republicans intensified their demands for Stormont polls, Sinn Féin chief Martin McGuinness accused the British Prime Minister of deepening the crisis in the peace process.
