Adams to meet US envoy in New York

Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams is due to meet Richard Haass, US President George W Bush's envoy to Ireland, in New York later today.

Mr Adams is expected to urge Mr Haass to put pressure on Tony Blair to set a date for Assembly elections in the North.
