Bank of Ireland IT strike talks resume

Talks have resumed at the Labour Relations Commission in the dispute at Bank of Ireland's computer division.

Staff are seeking assurances on long-term job security after the bank outsourced its IT operations to multinational Hewlitt Packard.

Both sides were given proposals to consider by the LRC earlier today.

If a resolution is not found, a 24-hour stoppage goes ahead from midnight on Thursday.

It's not thought there will be any disruption to customer service.
