Ahern announces €25m for Beaumont Hospital

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has announced plans to divert €25m from the National Development Plan to fund refurbishment works at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.

Mr Ahern said the money would allow the hospital to upgrade its laboratory and out-patient services.
