Forfas, the Government's enterprise policy advisory body, has said that Ireland is at an economic crossroads.

Forfas, the Government's enterprise policy advisory body, has said that Ireland is at an economic crossroads.

In its annual report for 2002, the body said Ireland's recent prosperity is being challenged by emerging low-cost economies.

Forfas said a mixture of low taxes, high skills and moderate costs are required to keep Ireland competitive into the foreseeable future.
