Fees would affect college choice - study

Almost half of Leaving Certificate pupils believe the reintroduction of third-level fees would affect their decision to attend college or university, according to a survey by the Union of Students in Ireland.

43% of respondents said their decision to attend higher education would be affected by a reintroduction of fees, which were abolished in the mid-1990s.
