The anti-smoking group ASH Ireland has rejected claims that the Government's plans to ban smoking in pubs and workplaces next year will harm Irish businesses.

The Irish Hospital Industry Alliance, a lobby group of publicans, restaurateurs and hoteliers, has claimed that the proposed ban would directly lead to 65,000 job losses in Ireland.
