€9m grants hoped to ensure job protection

The Government has approved grants totalling nearly €9m to community and private childcare providers.

The Department of Justice says the money will help create more than 900 new childcare places and safeguard an existing 450 JOBS.

Beneficiaries will include RAPID and CLAR operating in rural and urban regeneration areas.
