Health Minister expected to approve VHI increase

Health Minister Micheál Martin is expected to approve the VHI's request for an 8.5% premium increase later today.

The minister has already signalled his support for increased charges, despite the fact that the company secured an 18% increase in premiums last year and made a profit of €34m in the same period.
