Swedish man assaulted in New Ross dies
The Swedish man who has been in a coma since he was found unconscious outside a pub in Co Wexford over the weekend has died in hospital.
A decision was taken to switch off the man's life support machine at Wexford Regional Hospital this afternoon.
The 31-year-old jewellery seller is believed to have been injured in a fight and was found lying on the pavement outside the pub in New Ross at around 1am on Sunday morning.
A post mortem is due to take place at the hospital at 11am tomorrow morning.
