The Department of Foreign Affairs says, it is unclear whether any Irish people were injured in a terrorist bomb attack in Benidorm and Alicante today.

Local reports say British, Russian and Swedish tourists are amongst eight people hurt in two explosions in the popular Spanish resorts.

The Basque separatist group ETA has claimed responsibility for the attacks. Two hotels at the centre of the explosions had been evacuated after an anonymous warning.
