McCreevy: Exchequer must borrow €9bn in three years

The Exchequer will have to borrow over €9bn over the next three years according to the Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy.

It is a significant increase on the minister's borrowing estimates of €1.8bn for 2003 at the release of the Budget.
