Govt urged to tackle Third World debt

The Debt and Development Coalition called on the public today to support their plea for a resolution to the debt crisis in the world's poorest countries.

A petition was signed by thousands of people to highlight the fact that it has been a year since the Government's promise to put Third World debt cancellation on its agenda during Ireland's Presidency of the EU next year.
