Describing the protest as a "PR stunt", Deputy Mitchell warned an "extremely dangerous precedent has now been set".

"What would happen if ESB workers refused to send out bills or if Aer Rianta workers refused to accept payment at car parks or in duty free shops?" asked Deputy Mitchell.
