Released journalist to give press conference in Belfast

The Irish journalist who was wrongfully arrested and detained by the Israeli authorities for four days is due to give a press conference in his native Belfast today.

40-year-old Sean O'Muireagain, who writes for the Irish language daily Lá, was arrested at a roadblock in the West Bank on Saturday, apparently following a tip-off from British intelligence.

He was released yesterday.

Mr O'Muireagain was apparently mistaken for a suspected Real IRA explosives expert called John Morgan.

He is expected to outline the circumstances surrounding his arrest and detention later today.
