Ireland's Gross National Product (GNP) increased by just 0.1% last year, according to figures released by the Central Statistics Office today.

The CSO said Gross Domestic Product increased by 6.9% during 2002, mainly due to a growth in output by foreign corporations, particularly those in the chemical industry.
