The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, is due to meet Chilean President Ricardo Lagos in Dublin later today.

The two are to visit a monument in Merrion Square dedicated to Bernardo O'Higgins, a Chilean independence hero whose father was from Co Sligo.
