Donaldson calls for healing of UUP rift

UUP hardliner Jeffrey Donaldson has urged party leader David Trimble to heal the internal rift in the party.

Mr Donaldson and two of his colleagues resigned the party whip at Westminster in protest at the UUP's failure to reject the recent Irish-British declaration on implementing the Good Friday Agreement.
