Defence Minister pledges investment - eventually

Defence Minister Michael Smith has said he hopes to continue investing in equipment and infrastructure for the Irish Defence Forces - but it'll have to wait.

Minister Smith said the investment would have to be spread over a longer time period than normal due to Government spending cutbacks.
