Lawlor faces 'failure to co-operate' accusation

The Flood Tribunal is expected to accuse former Fianna Fáil TD Liam Lawlor of again failing to co-operate with its inquiries when it resumes later today.

Mr Lawlor has already served six weeks in prison for failing to hand over records of his finances and business dealings to the tribunal and could face further jail time on foot of today's accusation.

Over the weekend, the former Dublin TD called for an independent inspector to be appointed to adjudicate on his treatment by the Flood Tribunal.

He insisted he had co-operated fully with the investigation into alleged planning corruption in Dublin.
