Dissident republicans blamed for Co Armagh bomb
Bomb disposal experts in the North have defused an explosive device found around 10 miles from Portadown, Co Armagh, yesterday.
Police said the device, which was found at the side of the Banbridge to Guildford road, posed a real threat to the lives of people in passing cars.
A number of houses were evacuated while experts dealt with the bomb.
Nobody has claimed responsibility, but the finger of blame has already been pointed at dissident republicans opposed to the Good Friday Agreement.
