Vintners say ventilation works

The Vintners Federation says ventilation can be highly effective at reducing cigarette smoke.

The publicans' group says a study carried out by the University of Glamorgan proves ventilation protects bar staff and customers from the adverse effects of environmental tobacco smoke.

VFI spokesman Tadgh O'Sullivan has said that the Government is ignoring all evidence that may lead to a compromise.
