An action group in Crumlin are planning a protest at cutbacks at Our Lady's Hospital to highlight Government cutbacks.

The Crumlin Hospital Action Group is made up of parents of sick children, local teachers, residents and hospital staff, formed after a public meeting in the area.

The group are targeting Sean Ardagh who is the Fianna Fail TD for the area, and a member of the Crumlin Hospital Board.

Spokesman and local teacher Rory Hearne said: "These cuts are intolerable, sick children deserve a world class health service.

"This is the seventh richest country in the world, and the fastest growing economy in Europe. The government is to blame fair and square, for any deaths as a result of health cutbacks."
