Man charged with killing RUC officer

A man appeared in court today accused of murdering a Royal Ulster Constabulary officer in Belfast 12 years ago.

Paul Holland, aged 34, of Jamaica Street in the north of the city was charged with assassinating Constable Edward Spence while he was on patrol in May 1991.
