Lowry 'unable to afford further Moriarty representation'

Former Fine Gael TD Michael Lowry is reportedly unable to afford any further legal representation at the Moriarty Tribunal.

Former Fine Gael TD Michael Lowry is reportedly unable to afford any further legal representation at the Moriarty Tribunal.

Reports this morning said Mr Lowry had already spent €1.5m on legal fees relating to the tribunal, which is currently investigating whether the Tipperary TD interfered in the competition for Ireland's second mobile licence.

Mr Lowry is the only major player who has no senior counsel attending the hearings daily.
