Guinness set to lay off 200 workers

Guinness is reportedly planning to lay off 200 workers in Dublin as part of an efficiency review.

The job cuts, which are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, will apparently affect administrative staff rather than those working in production areas.

The lay-offs will reportedly hit workers in Guinness and Diageo Ireland's two Dublin bases.

Guinness has denied speculation that the company plans any closure of the brewery at St James's Gate.
