A plan to re-open the Phoenix Park underground rail line would solve the problem of linking Connolly Station and Dublin Airport at a stroke, Fine Gael transport spokesperson Denis Naughten TD said today.

The Rail Procurement Agency (RPA) has proposed running the new Dublin Airport metro straight into the city centre, bypassing Connolly and Pearse Street Stations.
