Come clean on tax, urges Revenue Commissioners

People not paying the correct amount of tax are being urged to own up and declare their financial interests.

The call comes on the day the Revenue Commissioners reported €700m was collected from offshore accounts last year.

Revenue Commissioners chairman Frank Daly has said it was better for evaders to come to them first, otherwise those who choose to dodge the issue would suffer in the long run.
