Nightclub owners to meet Justice Minister today

Nightclub owners are due to meet Justice Minister Michael McDowell today to seek extended opening hours.

In return, the nightclub industry will offer a contribution to garda overtime.

The nightclub owners have expressed concern at the number of people pouring onto the streets at the same time and the resultant rise in street violence.
