Govt notified of 72 child abduction cases last year

The Department of Justice received 72 cases of child abduction involving 112 children last year, according to figures released by Justice Minister Michael McDowell today.

The figures represent an increase of seven on the number of cases received by the department's Child Abduction Authority in 2001.
