Gardaí name drive-by victim

Gardaí have named the man who was shot dead outside a public bar on Dublin's Eden Quay last night.

The dead man was later named as 25-year-old Ronald Draper, of Brook View Walk, Tallaght, in south Dublin. He was working as a doorman outside a pub on the quay when he was shot.

Two men on a high-powered motorbike stopped on Eden Quay at around 10.50pm last night and shot Mr Draper.

He was taken to the Mater hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The motorbike was found in a nearby dockland.
