Man shot dead in drive-by shooting

A murder hunt is underway in Dublin following the shooting dead of a doorman outside a Dublin pub last night.

Two men on a high-powered motorbike stopped on Eden Quay at around 10.50pm last night and shot the man. The victim is believed to have been working at the time as a doorman.

He was taken to the Mater hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The motorbike was found in a nearby dockland.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have seen two men driving a powerful motorbike down the quays.
