Three Labour TDs have described a visit to the Mater Hospital in Dublin as an "eye-opener".

Party leader Pat Rabbitte, deputy leader Liz McManus and Joe Costello TD were given a guided tour of the hospital today to assess the effects of just under 100 bed closures and 116 redundancies.
