Taoiseach to address World Newspaper Congress
The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, is due to address the 56th World Newspaper Congress at the RDS in Dublin later today.
The meeting, attended by representatives of 1,200 newspapers from 88 countries, began over the weekend and is due to continue until Wednesday.
Irish media mogul Gavin O'Reilly and U2 singer Bono are also due to address the meeting today.
Delegates are due to discuss the future direction of newspapers and issues like new technology, electronic media and freedom of the press.
