Closure order served on Galway restaurant

A Galway restaurant was issued with a closure order last month due to breaches in health and safety, according to the Food Safety Authority today.

Four more food outlets, three in Dublin and one in Cork, were sent improvement orders.

The closure order was served by the Western Health Board on Little Killary Adventure Centre in Leenane, Co Galway.

The Food Safety Authority says there are 41,000 food businesses operating in Ireland, and five enforcement orders indicates a small number in breach of legislation.
