Mixed reaction to first exams

A mixed reaction has been given to this morning's Junior and Leaving Cert English papers.

Sheila Parsons, an English teacher at the Holy Faith de la Salle school in Skerries, Co Dublin, said all the papers were fair, but aspects of the Higher Lever Leaving Cert English exam were more difficult than previous years.
