Survey reveals quarter of all mail arrives late

A survey reveals only three out of four items sent in the mail are delivered the next day.

The figures come from a survey carried out by the Commission for Communications Regulations ComReg.

The TSN MRBI survey means a quarter of all letters fail to reach their destination on time.

An Post is rejecting the findings saying independent monitoring of domestic letter delivery by Price Waterhouse Coopers shows an 87% success rate by the next day.
